Churamura Sea Turtle Conservation Camps
The future of conservation begins with the next generation and inspiring children is a big part of our mission! Churamura’s Sea Turtle Conservation Junior Rangers programs has inspired countless kids for well over three seasons and is an exciting way for kids to learn first-hand how we protect Okinawa’s endangered sea turtles and marine life.
Throughout the year, Junior Rangers can experience a wide variety of educational opportunities including ocean exploration, nest identification, monitoring, and excavation, hatching events, night patrols, and much more!
We strive to give the kids a well-rounded experience. They will have the opportunity to meet and learn from Okinawa conservation legends like: Shawn Miller (National Geographic photographer), Dr. Mareike Dornhege (Shark Ecologist), and Yuki (Resin Artist).
Being a Junior Ranger will be an adventure full of ocean exploration, sea turtle conservation, “hands-on feet-wet” education focusing on marine science with a splash of Okinawan culture!
