2026 Annual Sea Turtle Festival

The 2nd Annual Okinawa Sea Turtle Festival, hosted by Churamura, will be held at Nirai Beach in Yomitan Village on March 7th 2026 & will be a celebration of 6years of operation and blessings from the community. With the conclusion of the 2025 sea turtle nesting season –  the busiest and most successful to date, the future is looking bright for Sea turtle Conservation and we feel empowered to give something back to the people that mean the most to us, our volunteers, and YOU our loyal supporters!

With the theme of “ONE OCEAN ONE LIFE”, we are hoping to surpass our previous attendance record of 1000 people, and raising $500 for sea turtle conservation.

Planned activities include a beach cleanup, transforming collected microplastics into art, and the highlight—Sea Turtle Olympics, offering both fun and educational experiences for participants of all ages. Food trucks, Musicians, Artists, Eco-friendly goods vendors, other conservation teams educational booths etc..
