2026 Annual Sea Turtle Festival announced!!
The Annual Okinawa Sea Turtle Festival is about giving back to the community and saying thanks for all the support over the year.
We bring artists, musicians, healthy food trucks, sustainable and eco good product vendors, educational activities and workshops, and our popular Sea Turtle Olympics recreate different turtle behaviors such as nesting, hatching and surviving all in a fun and friendly competitive spirit with prizes donated by corporate sponsors!
What began as the protection of these nests during our initial summer swiftly transformed into an island-wide movement and robust team of dedicated volunteers.
This evolution gave rise to the diverse range of programs that characterize Churamura today.
5K Costume Fun Run
Over 100 fun-runners came out to help us celebrate our 5th anniversary of saving turtles!
With prizes and fun educational activities for all to enjoy, we hope to announce the dates for 2026 5km Fun-Run soon!
We also have ongoing events!
